Frequently Asked Questions about Splitting PDFs
How do I split a PDF into multiple files?
Upload your PDF. In the "Ranges to Extract" section, define the groups of pages you want in each new file. You can type ranges (e.g., "1-3, 5") or click pages in the preview to add them to the active range. Use the "+ Add Range" button to create more groups for more files. When ready, click "Split and Download ZIP" to get a ZIP file containing each range as a separate PDF.
Can I select pages visually for each group?
Yes. First, click on a range input field to make that group "active" (it will be highlighted). Then, simply click on the page thumbnails in the preview below. The selected pages will automatically be calculated and added to the active range field for you.
Is it safe to split sensitive documents here?
Yes, absolutely. All processing, including splitting your PDF into multiple files and creating the final ZIP archive, happens directly in your browser. Your original files are never uploaded to any server, ensuring your data remains completely private.
