Frequently asked questions about Deleting PDF Pages
How do I delete specific pages from my PDF?
After uploading your PDF, you'll see a preview of all its pages. Click on the thumbnail of any page you wish to remove. To select multiple pages, hold down the `Ctrl` key (or `Cmd` on a Mac) and click each desired page. Once your selections are made, click the "Delete Pages" button.
Is PDFClear safe for deleting pages from confidential documents?
Absolutely. Your privacy is our top priority. All processing, including deleting pages from your PDF, is done 100% client-side in your web browser. This means your files are never uploaded to our servers, ensuring your confidential documents remain private.
Can I accidentally delete all pages?
The tool is designed to prevent you from deleting *all* pages, as that would result in an empty document. If you attempt to select all pages, it will prompt you if you want to proceed or adjust your selection. You must leave at least one page to create a valid output PDF.
What happens after I delete the pages?
Once you click "Delete Pages", a new PDF containing only the pages you *did not* select will be generated instantly and made available for download. Your original file on your computer remains untouched.
Will the numbering of remaining pages be updated?
Yes, the pages in the new PDF document will be automatically renumbered sequentially starting from 1. Any existing page numbering or headers from the original PDF's content will remain unless they were part of the deleted pages.
