Frequently asked questions about Rotating PDFs

How do I rotate PDF pages?

Upload your PDF document. In the "Rotation Groups" section, you can define specific page numbers (e.g., "1, 3, 5"), page ranges (e.g., "10-15"), or simply type "all" to target the entire document. Then, select your desired rotation angle (90°, 180°, 270° clockwise, or 0° to reset). You can add multiple rotation groups to apply different angles to different sections of your PDF. Once configured, click "Apply Changes" to generate your new PDF.

Is it safe to rotate PDFs online with PDFClear?

Absolutely. PDFClear prioritizes your privacy. All PDF rotation operations are performed directly within your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server, ensuring complete confidentiality and security.

Can I apply different rotations to different parts of my PDF?

Yes, you can! Our tool allows you to add multiple "Rotation Groups." Each group lets you specify a unique page range and a different rotation angle. For instance, you could rotate pages 1-3 by 90° and pages 7-8 by 180° in a single operation.

What rotation angles are supported?

You can choose to rotate pages by 90 degrees clockwise, 180 degrees, or 270 degrees clockwise (which is equivalent to 90 degrees counter-clockwise). There is also a "0° (Reset)" option to revert any rotation for a specified page range.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

If your PDF is protected from modification, you will need to use our "Unlock PDF" tool first to remove the password (provided you know it) before you can apply rotations. PDFs protected only with an "open" password can still be rotated, but you might need to input the password for the file to load correctly.
